I need some help for setting up an ftp server...
firstly i run Mandrake 7.1 with both wu-ftp and the anonymous ftp pakage installed.
Problem is, that i want to share files on my windows hd, to anonymous users.
My idea was to create symlinks in /home/ftp/pub to the files i want to share e.g. /mnt/windows/files
This works ok with users i have made on my Linux box, but not when the user is anonymous, so how do i do this???
Ofcause i could just mount my win hd in /home/ftp/pub , but im am not into the idea of share the whole drive
Looking forward to hear from someone

I don't think anonymous FTP will follow symlinks.

Maby a new Ftp-server program or someting???
Any comments or ideas are welcome

Are there a lot of files or do they change often? If not you could just copy them into the pub dir. Even if you could allow an anonymous ftp program to follow symlinks I would recommend it.
