airo: got weird status 1000

I hate having to ask others how to solve a problem I'm having, I'd rather figure it out myself, but this is one of those certain cases where I'm at a blank. Slackware is my distribution of choice, but just for fun I decided to try out Gentoo. On installation, when setting up my wireless network card (Cisco Aironet 4800) I am able to set up an internet connection, however, once a connection is established I receive "airo: got weird status 1000," which pops up about 10 times on my screen (on all tty terminals I might add) and this error message is written to my screen about every ten seconds. I've searched google, and only found people with the same question as mine, but no solutions to the problem. If you have come across a similar problem, or have an idea on how I can correct this, please post it here. In advance, I appretiate anything that one may have to add to this thread.
Cheers

Hi,

I had this same problem. But it didn't seem to affect my wireless performance. So I just commented that line out of the driver code, and recompiled and reinstalled the driver so that the annoying messages wouldn't show up any more.

This is maybe an inelegant "head in sand" approach, but I still get full bandwidth, reliable wireless, with no problem.

I've got the same problem. It doesn't seem to affect connection, but after about a day of continuous connection (with gnomemeeting 0.98), my system hang completely. Does anybody know wath exactly this singnalation means?
