Hey Everybody,

First off I would like to say I have been a long time listener of LQ radio and the LQ podcast. I would also like to say, I am not 100% positive what section I should have posted this thread unders, so please forgive me if you admins have to move it.

Okay, here is the delimma. I need to monitor AIM conversations of one of my family members from a foreign network. Along time ago, I stumbled across a program called AIMSniff (www,aimsniff,com) & when looking across the forums of AIMSniff a while ago, I remember people mentioning it is possible to monitor foreign networks with AIMSniff through ettercap (ettercap,sourceforge,net). Unfortunately, the AIMSniff forums are permanently down. First off, is this the best way to attack this problem? Has anybody had to do anything similar to this before? Would anybody have the expertise to help me through this problem? If so, it would be immensely appreciated. I can ironically talk through AIM, e-mail or this forums.
