After Resuming from suspend, my network is down and must be restarted
Running Arch Linux x86_64, using gnome 3.2.1. This is a problem that just started this past week and I'm not sure where to start looking. Basically, on startup, the network starts fine and works. When the computer resumes from a suspend, the network is down. /etc/rc.d/network restart will get it going, but having to reissue this command every time the computer resumes is getting kind of old. Looking for a place to start.
Any help is appreciated |
I've had the same problem but I can't confirm this happens on every resume just because my pc doesn't get to sleep much and I'm not sure when* it started.
I guess until you find out more, you could just make an alias. alias n='/etc/rc.d/network restart'. Although I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear. Edit: Found this thread, may help? https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1082253 Some members resolved the issue downgrading 'dhcpd'. Gonna try it myself now. |
Downgrading dhcpcd 5.5.5-1 to 5.5.4-1 and then a network restart solved my issue.
Sorry for the dbl post. |
Thanks Abrer. I'll give it a try
