After halt WOL feature also shuts down:(

Hi!

I need to power up my router remotely.
MB of this router has onboard Gigabit with OnBoard LAN Boot ROM [Enabled].
So everything is fine except when I turn (halt) my router off Linux also turns off this onboard card completely, so that no more Wake-on-LAN is available.
So why it happens so?
Any suggestions?

What should I do that Linux would not be able to turn off my onbord LAN?

Thank you.

Are you using a normal Linux box as your router, or do you have a separate network router - I can't quite understand? WOL is defined through the computer BIOS and shouldn't be effected by the OS you're running.
