AFFORDABLE Mailserver software for Debian

Someone suggested gordano but this is way too pricy ..

I also want to be sure to have a secure mail server since I am quite a noob ... Playing around with sendmail etc. is not really an option for me to be honest ...

Does someone knows a good affordable mailserver ? It is not necessary to have pop3, forwarder would be enough, but prefered of course ...

Thanks

I think the debian default is exim, why not just use that?

Personally I would use qmail though.

1) http://www.exim.org/docs.html or http://www.lifewithqmail.org/
2) Check and double check your configuration, keep making sure there are no known exploits for the software you are using and also do basic tests to make sure you aren't an open relay.

If security is a major concern then I would look at using qmail.
