Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a (advanced?) load balancer in debian squeeze. I need to be able to ask the load balancer for an ip adres of a random available server and register/delete servers using the command line.

Using a gui cannot be done since the system is console only.

does such a load balancer exist? I've used google to look for such a system and it found ultra monkey, balance, pen, pound, crossroads. But the operations that i want to do seem impossible with these programs, or am i looking in the wrong direction?

Do any of you know such a load balancer? This is the first time I'm confronted with load balancers ... and i need some help

(I need the load balancer for a vlc video on demand service. I need an ip adres of an available server to which i can send the request. I know that the load balancer can send the request to the server, but I need the adres ... it's for my thesis, my thesis mentor suggested this method).
