ADSL Setup, Verizon Online

I have Verizon DSL, it is directly connected to this computer through a nic. Here are the specs:

OS: Slax(Slackware Live)
Hostname: wbar2.lax1-4-8-223-083.dsl-verizon.net
IP Address: 4.8.223.83
Subnet: 255.255.240.0
Gateway: 4.8.208.1
DNS: 4.2.2.4, 4.2.2.5
DHCP server: 209.244.126.105

of course I'm not going to post the Username and Password but still giving just that information is making myself vunerable

I have a DNS problem, I can ping google's ip but not like type in google.com and it will goto google.com Anyone know a solution to this problem???

What is your /etc/resolv.conf? You DNS entries should be there. Seems that they are
not working? Are they really 4.2.2.4 and 5? You can test them with
nslookup
in a console.
