ADSL router in SUSE linux 9.1 personal
 

Hi there
I am trying to configure Dlink ADSL router in suse linux. I get to the router inteface by typing the ip of the modem i.e 192.168.1.1
It even shows the status as connected but no web pages are displayed.

Have you setup dns resolution in /etc/resolv.conf?

Does your /etc/sysconfig (at least on Rh9, don't know about SUSE) look like this:

NETWORKING=yes
HOSTNAME=StefanLinux
GATEWAY=196.254.255.100

where GATEWAY is, of course, your modem / router IP.

Thanks but it is already set and still no luck.
I am fed up will load suse 9.3 let's see what is shows.
