adsl problems in mandrake 10
due to the fact that fedora hates my video card i switched to mandrake 10, i configured my interent connection through their tool but it won't connect.
i have no fire wall, i'm going through a router to a intergated etho port and my internet worked on fedora, the network monitor shows a bit of traffic asus p4800d also do you have the adsl-setup command in mandrake if so why dosn't it work |
You do not need to use adsl-setup with a router. Enable pppoe using the router's configuration settings. Then via Mandrake Control Center configure eth0 and set the router as the gateway.

what do you mean my router config settings, is their a command that i use is there supposed to be a drive dislette for my router, acually switch
|
mandrake dosn't seem to see my router, i tried some commands i found netconfig and ifconfig but apparently they can't be found, the network config utility says that i connect to the interent through my ethernet port using ppoe
