ADSL PPPoE
 

hello, I have just recently installed rp-pppoe on slackware 9.1
and my ISP is SBC they have assigned me 5 sticky ips that I want to use in linux, so I assigned the IP's with ifconfig to eth0 and now I'm having trouble connecting to my ISP with adsl-start, I keep getting "Timed Out"
I have read the how-to-connect and all the readme files that came along with rp-pppoe, and ive browsed the web trying to find the solution but I havn't found anything at all, I would appreciate it if someone could help me out, thank you.

When you issue the adsl-start command, do you see activity on the modem?
