adsl or cable and ppp....

first post here, so hello all.

is it possible to run a adsl or cable connection and a normal dialup ppp connection at the same time on a linux box (gateway)?

the ppp connection will host a mail server for a fqdn (not very busy).

the adsl or cable connection will handle internet connectivity.

ps: the broadband connection ip is not static plus no servers r allowed (otherwise i could have just redelegated and closed the ppp connection).

I'm sure it is!

Haven't done this kind of thing myself though. I'd just go and set everything up as "usual" and see. Don't know why it shouldn't work.

You'll have to have a closer look at your routing table as for which device to use for internet-connectivity.
