ADSL Modem Pooling

I've read a fair bit of stuff from google and from these message boards aswell. I know this has to be possible. Can anyone point me in the right direction to actually get this working. I want to be able to hook up multiple ADSL modems into one machine and use that machine as a gateway/firewall to a network of machines. One adsl connection just isn't fast enough, and a T1 isn't in my price range. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Please let me know what Distro you would use, and hardware etc...
