ADSL.. Is Killing Me


I can't understand what's happening anymore .
I had ADSL 1 month ago and until now I can't run it on Linux.
I Have A conexant ADSL Modem .
After a long battle I finnaly installed and configured the drivers.
and It said I have a device : ttyHCF0.

But what then ???????????????

HOW TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET USING MY DEVICE ?????




PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

How do you connect your device to the pc? USB, ethernet cable, other? Which version of Linux are you using? What were the installation/use instructions with your modem?

It's A Modem Card Inside My PC.
Mandrake 8.1
The Instructions were usd to install and configure Modem but not connect to the internet , command used is hcppciconfig

Must admit, I'm not really that informed on internal cards and ADSL, but are you able to do ifconfig on your card and can you ping it?

What happens when you open a browser? What error messages do you get?
