Angry ADM8211 and Redhat 9

Here's the situation,

I've got an iBlitzz BWI605 802.11b 11Mbps Wireless LAN PCI Card,
which as far as I've gathered is based on the ADM8211 chipset. Although I'm running redhat, the installer that iblitzz provides is only applicable for 7.3 or 8.0, and when I try to install it, I get the message

ADM8211 install begain.....
Install error: Please use RedHat 8.0

So, I downloaded the sources and compiled the mod from there, so far so good. When starting up, my comp will not activate this module on it's own, so I have to do an insmod, which returns the error module loaded with warnings which I assume has to do with the fact that there is a possibility of tainting the kernel.... I can live with this, so long as I get this stupid card to work!!!
When I run lsmod (after insmod, of course) I see that the 8211.o module is loaded, but not in use. So, just for kicks and giggles, I run
iwconfig which responds with
lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

eth1 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"" Nickname:""
NWID:off/any Mode:Managed Channel:0
Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00 Bit Rate=0kb/s Tx-Power=0 dBm

Encryption key:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

What's next ?? I've tried to configure this card numerous times, and it just won't seem to "stick" If there are some steps I'll need to take to configure it at boot time, I will, but, my wife also uses this computer, and I'd hate to have to reinstall windows because she is NOT going to use the command prompt to start up the network.

I know, this is a really newbie question, and I should probably be able to find the soloution in HOWTOS or the man pages, but I can't seem to:
Thanks
Smee

Newest source is v1.05

AMDTek has posted a newer source at their Website. The Redhat rpms that I have seen are based on v1.03. You may want to check the version that you are using.
