Additional Smoothwall Drivers

The non-profit organization that I am working for has piles of 486DX machines which would probably not serve much other useful purpose than Smoothwalls.

Unfortuanatly, included in the pile are about 16 ISA NIC's (can't remeber the chipset name at the moment) which is not included in the smoothie driver database and will not work under the "generic" NE2000 drivers either.

I'm assuming that the driver files are in the Lib directory on the smoothwall ISO.

My question is, is there any way (assuming that I could find a lib file for my particular NIC) that I could add additional drivers to the smoothwall ISO to use these cards?

Of course I understand that because I didn't include the NIC model, advice may be limited, but any advice will be greatly apreciated becuase if I can't find a solution I will probably have about 16 useless NIC's!

Thanks

During the install process, Smoothwall will ask you to supply drivers from floppies if it can't autodetect the NICs itself.

Problem is identifying them correctly in the first place...

Get them run up on something that works, eg a RedHat 9 or Deb 3 etc install from a magazine cd, then do a Google search for the drivers for the version of Smoothwall you want to use, either a 2.2 kernel (Smoothwall 1) or 2.4 kernel (Smoothwall 2).
