Unhappy Accessing Windows Shares

Hi, I have FC2 and I have no idea how to access my shared windows files in my network. I can ping my Windows machines, but I dont see them and I cannot connect to them. I tried a lot of stuff but nothing worked.

Lets say this: I have 2 windows machines and 1 Linux FC2 machine in my network, and I cannot access my windows from my linux. I am not concerned the contrary, but...

I really don't know how to set this, to get this working. Have the pleasure to see all my windows shares without be worried about what user is logging in, or what the password.... forget all this: Is there any way to use my linux "Network Servers - Windows Network" like I do using windows?

By The way, Im using all computers as members of "workgroup", obtain IP auto.

Does anybody know hwo to set this? Or some program the manage this for me? I know /etc/smb.conf and I've tried a lot of different combinations and possibilites.

Thanks in advance

if you are wanting to mount a windows share from CLI you can do it like this
mount -t smbfs -o username=win-name-with-access-to-share //fqdn-or-ip-of-win/sharename /mnt/winshare-mount-point

or graphically just browse a share, you can use 'konqueror' and then in the address bar
smb://fqdn-or-ip/sharename

hope this helps
