accessing windows share from Fedora Core 3

Hi, I'm hoping for a little help here.

I've got Fedora up and running, and with the standard network settings I can see the windows machines and the shares on it.

I can even log onto it, but when I try to access a file or a folder, it says that "the file name indicates that the file is of type "folder" (or whatever I'm trying to acces), but the contents indicates that it is of type "unknown"...

What am I doing wrong?

thanks, Macavity
