accessing redhat 9 machine on network...

Is there anyway to access a redhat 9 linux machine from a Windows machine other than using the IP. I can map the path with the IP but the IP is dynamic so, obviously this doesn't work. I want to set up the mapped drive path with the computer's name on the network. I am sure there is a way to do this, but I am new to networking and linux. If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.
