Why do you want to use RH7 ?

It really is ancient history now. I suggest using Fedora core 4, it has much newer packages (Including VSFTPD).

Besides TFTP is a different protocol than FTP. You may need to compile your own vsftpd or proftpd or whatever software for a system that old, but I'd suggest following IBall's advice and use something more recent.

FTP for redhat 7

Hello again,
I want to use ftp for my redhat V7 because I have set up a webserver and want that server to be updated regularly using the ftp account. So can you please guide me how to do FTP on RedHat V7.....Thanks

So your webserver is running Redhat 7 ?

This is a bad idea from a security point of view, I thing RH7 uses the 2.2 kernel. Try installing VSFTP from source - any precompiled packages are likely to be ancient, so will have heaps of security issues. You should be able to set it up according to their instructions.

Redhat 7 is now more than 4 years old, which really is ancient. I strongly suggest you try a newer distro, espcially for an internet facing server.
