Accessing Apache server from internet
 
I have a apache server installed on my laptop, which i have accessing the internet via a share connection off my windows xp desktop, I am wondering if theirs anyway i can get my friends to access the server via this share network connection bearing in mind that the a IP is DHCP setup and not manully any ideas?? Its the HTTP that i want them accsess ing

If you're seeing the internet through an XP box using ICS, the internet can't see you. ICS isn't advanced enough to port forward port 80 to a certain machine. I recommend using a router (as low as $40) and either port-forwarding port 80 to the IP of the Apache box, or just setting that box outside the DMZ for however long you need it to be seen. I assume it's only on every now and then because laptops make for lousy servers. Heat problems arise rather quickly.

so anyone can help me out then??.. anyidea how i can get this port forwarding to work.. do i set it up on the Linux machine or windows?
