access windows net work from command line

Hi all

I have a windows and linux maxhine. I have set up a network throught my router so that my linux box can see windows.

So if i go to places->network servers->windows network

i can see all my windows files.

However, do anyone know if there is a way to do this from the command line?

Thanks

Lee

Unless you have define hostanme to ip in /etc/hosts file then you can use a command like this to see the shares.
smbclient -I xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -U <username>

Replace xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with the ip of the windows machine and <username> with the username you use on the Windows machine.

Then you can use the mount command to mount it to a directory.
