I am using sendmail MTA into my mal server . In "/etc/mail/"

Sendmail uses the hashed version of the access file. The plain text version is access. After hashing this file with either the makemap command or the make command the access.db file is created.
So after making any changes to the /var/mail/access file make sure to hash it so that sendmail identifies the changes.
