I need one, but can't find anything better than the absolute basics when googling for it.
I run an ftp site and I just switched from pure-ftpd (w/ pureadmin) to glftpd and I'm trying to learn the commands needed to admin users, groups and perms, but it's slow going so a tutorial/how-to would be great...
Well administration of an ftp server has nothing to do with the ftp commands that a client uses.
The client side commands are those you probably found on google (as open a connection, browsing the ftp directories, download a file...). Administering the server is ftp daemon dependent (and is done btw mostly in config files).
Or did you mean something different?
Nah, I've figured out MOST of the stuff I need now. I used a gui for pureftpd so I didn't learn much, but according to one of my m8s the commands for most ftp daemons are very similar, so I was thinking some kind of generic guide...
I still have problems, but that'll be posted in a new thread, cuz it's about something very different.
