602.1x Authentication Password is being recieved sucessfully.

Bought a refurbished laptop with Linux Ubuntu 14. I cant get by the password entry for the computers when it ask for the 602.1x authentication password. I think this works with the router. I know the router password and username. One shows up already and the password I then put in and it comes up blank, over and over. I cant get this working using a cable to my router and I cant get the wireless going either. Im thinking of hiring a computer expert to come out to the house. Any replies and or help Im thankful. Blessings.

Are you sure that's not "802.1x"?

When does this password prompt appear? Can you log in to the computer when it's not connected to the network at all?

Your right its 802.1x. I can boot up the system. I can unlock one key ring. Seems my administration pw and system password work fine there. Only it doesnt work in this area of 802.1x. It wants a password, so I give the ones I know. Like the admin, system and try some of the routerssowrds I know. None of the passwords are working. Im able to go into F2 and the "sudo" stuff Im learning on youtube. I cant find any lessons on this Authentication password which seems to be trying to authenticate a connection with my router. It trys to coneect and fails and tries to connect again, always asking that same passowrd and then failing. A ping test seemed to show it wasnt reaching my router. Im hoping I can pull up some way to give it a password.Or find out the one it may already have now. Any help IM thankful. Blessings.
