Error while sending mails
Hi,
when i am trying to send a mil from linux server to my mail id i'm getting that Error. Can you please help me on that issue. |
and also can you please help me on the mail configuration like sendmail.mc file.
in y environment smtp server is different server. acutaly i'm sending a mail to my local machine my smtp host is mail1.domain.com test server testserver.domain.com |
For setting up sendmail (I prefer postfix instead) you can refer the online documents. Here is one of them: http://computernetworkingnotes.com/n...il-server.html
For sending to your domain from outside you have to get your domain name registered with domain registrar. For sending it from your domain to outside world you still need to register your domain. Otherwise your IP will be blacklisted and destination mail server (for example gmail.com) will start bouncing your emails. You can send internal emails without any issue but for sending or receiving it from outside you have to get your domain name registered. Apart from domain name you should have a valid mx record for your mail server. Make sure that reverse lookup works fine for your domain etc. |
i'm not able to send to the mails internal from my linux client.
smtp configured in windows machine. |
What you are trying to say, could you be more clear.
|
AS said by TERMINATOR u must have working dns server and valid mx records.
