"407 Proxy Authentication Required." help
 

hey,
i'm trying to update FC2 behind a proxy using synaptics i 've changed the proxy settings to

myusername:mypassword@theproxy.com

but i still get the same message;

407 Proxy Authentication Required ( The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy service is denied. )

any help would be grand, thanks.

a few people have been looking at this thread so they probably have the same problem as me.

the problem is with the proxy, an ISA server, which it seems likes to works with IE but nothing else.

something to do with the headers on the packets which IE sends the proxy for authetication. so i

found a little prog which replicats these - ntlmaps - st he moment havent had a chance to download it

because i cant reach it behind the proxym, typical. i'll get it when i go home and see if it works.
