3G USB Modem Zoom 4595 and networking
Hi,
I have this 3G usb modem from Zoom. Model 4505 which apparently not supported by linux. I am using Ubuntu 9.10. I have gone as far as flipping it with the module usb-modeswitch successfuly. Now, I am using wvdial to connect to the internet. The issue I get with wvdial is as follow: zongo@vortex:~$ sudo wvdial --> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.60 --> Cannot open /dev/ttyUSB0: No such file or directory --> Cannot open /dev/ttyUSB0: No such file or directory --> Cannot open /dev/ttyUSB0: No such file or directory I can say that the modem is flipped successfully by the module usb-modeswitch so the issue does not seem to coming from there. I have another 3G usb modem Haewei which works flawlessly with wvdial. I have no idea why I am getting this output and would appreciated any type of help. Cheers |
