3c940 with 3c2000 drivers: LEDs are off.
Hi everybody..
I have an Asus p4p800 motherboard, with 3C940 Ethernet card integrated.
I did much progress thanks to this forum, but the internet still doesn't work.
Here is my problem: i installed and configured properly 3c2000 drivers that i took from the installation CD of my motherboard. On the boot log everything seems to be fine: the network interface on eth0 is loaded, and apparently there are no problems, in the yast config panel (I use SuSe 8.0 Pro), i can see the card, but it seems like the LEDs on the card are off, just like if it was powered down. Obviously I can't browse the internet, as konqueror says "unknown host".
Does anybody know why these LEDs are off?
P.S. I'm sure that the card works, because i can surf the internet on the other OS that i use on my computer (Windows XP)
