Hello, I would like to know if I ADD a 2nd router to my home network, will my ISP (Virgin Media) provide a second external/WAN IP to that 2nd router? Thanks. So I can have my parents use the 1st router and I personally can use the 2nd router so we both use 2 different external IPs instead of us using the same external IP.
Just want to split the network so whatever I do isn't redirected to them also. Part of my course we do a bit of ethical hacking and there is some stuff which I can practice, not on real sites but on dummy ones or on my parents computers. At least this way I have doing stuff to myself basically lol
Like snooping/sniffing etc, I can practice from my own laptop and do stuff to my parents. So if there are 2 external IPS, the practice would be even better. (Obviously I would know my parents external IP since im there)
Distribution: Debian Sid AMD64, Raspbian Wheezy, various VMs

No, you won't get two IP addresses just by doing that. I haven't looked into it but the way Virgin is set up you may be able to buy another cable modem from them and ask for another IP through the same cable but, then, you're almost at the stage of asking them to hook you up a second cable connection.
I would say it's more trouble than it's worth. How about getting a cheap 3G modem form the likes of 3 and trying that for your ethical hacking instead? It would also give you redundancy for those times when Virgin's network goes down (in my experience that's not all that often but is a pain when it dos as you get to expect it to be there).
