Just upgraded from RH 6.1 to 7.1 and am having a problem with FTP. I can log into the remote host fine, but when I try to execute a command like "ls" or "get" I get the following: Entering Passive Mode (24,0,97,224,6,203). This didn't happen with 6.1 and I wonder if it is related to the FW package found in 7.1. I chose "no firewall" on setup as I get internet connectivity through a Cisco ISDN router that is currently doing PAT, but no filtering. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi, the problem you are having with ftp which is mainly permission. the user you added just give him the ownership for the directory and it will be working.

chown username:username dircectoryname

I have this prob also and I think this command is enif to get rid of this prob.

take care
