2 NICs / 2 IPs on the internet?

Hello,

I'am having 2 NIC's with 2 different (internet-)IP's on my debian server.

Only one IP of them is pingable, based on the route configured.. but I want them both to be online, is there any way to do that?

Bonding wont help here, since I want 2 different IPs for the same machine.

So I actually have:

eth0 = internet NIC (IP #1)
eth1 = internet NIC (IP #2)
eth2 = local lan NIC

why do you ahve two ip's in the same subnet on different nic's that doesn't make sense, you'd set them as like, eth0 and eth0:1 to use two normally, and are you really sure it's a /20 public subnet? how's that work??
