2 network Cards on slackware
 
i have 2 network cards
192.168.1.1 eth0
192.168.1.2 eth1


i can ping 192.168.1.2 only if i have the cable connected to eth0.
if i conntect the calbe to eth1 i cant ping both ips...

i use kernel 2.6.15.1 compiled myshelf maybe i have smt worng on my kernel???

Nothing's wrong in the kernel, at least I guess not.

The two eth's need different subnets.. eg
192.168.1.1/24 eth0
192.168.2.1/24 eth2

i tried this too but nothing seems to work!!!


its not a router linux.the box is running samba and its fileserver
