2 Inboxes in MS OUtlook ???

Hey guys,

Wierd things happening here. I have successfully installed qmail and Courier IMAP (Secure : Port 993) and can log in and retrieve/send email. My Mail Client is MS Outlook.

The problem is I seem to show 2 INBOXES.

One is the original Outlook Inbox and the second has my Mail Server Name and another INBOX beneath it. All new mail shows up in this second INBOX and not the other. Any one know how I could possibly point all new mail to the original INBOX.

Is there something I need to set on Courier-IMAP side or with Outlook itself?

Lastly which is better? OUtlook or Outlook Express?

Thanks!

I personally don't use the extra features of Outlook and so I use Outlook Express. To answer your question there is nothing you can do about the location of the mail. You automatically get a new inbox for each IMAP and HTTP accounts taht you add. Only the standard pop3 accounts go to the original mailbox.
There is a work around but it would be a pain. You could forward all your mail from the IMAP server to a pop account and then check it using Outlook via pop.

bbenz3,

Thanks for your help. That really sucks that it keeps adding on Inboxes for every Connection. And you are right, forwarding to a Pop account and then checking mail from there is too much overhead.

I am setting up a webmail server so that will minimize the amount of users that use Outlook. Unfortunately some die-hard fans like the features in Outlook like caldendering , etc. so I am still stuck with em.

All the same ,

Thanks.
