100/full eth0 link question


Hi all,
my comp (CentOS 5.4) eth0 is set to 100/full and I was wondering wat the max output is?

What would the maximum Total rates:, Incoming Rates:, and Outgoing Rates: be? Thresholds wise in kbits? I've been told that the threshold for 100/full is 80% or 80,000 kbits. is this correct? thanks guys.

That's about right. It depends on lots of things, like what kind of traffic this is, you could spew out UDP traffic faster than the equivalent volume of TCP data and the likes, but 80%, so about 80mbps which is about 10MBps, is about right.

Thx for the reply but what ab at 100/full or even a 1000/full connection? what would the maximum threshold be?
