[SOLVED]share internet connection from laptop to desktop
hi guys,
I have a laptop [running Debian 64bit] connected to wifi and a desktop computer [running Debian 32bit] with no wireless network card, but Wired network card [Ethernet]
I wanted to share the connection of my laptop to my desktop, I'm using wicd and it doesn't allow that [and if possible I don't want to install gnome-network-manager]
I mention the Gnome manager because most results on Google point to how to do this with it and I'm using openbox and WICD for wifi my connection
I figured I need to set up DHCP on the laptop so I wouldn't need to manually set IPs every time I connect the Desktop (or if I need to connect another device, like a Beagleboard or a Raspberry Pi)
I would appreciate any help you can offer
edit: the Bridging network connection from the Debian wiki worked
