[NEWBIE]no internet connection after boot

Every time I boot my computer with mandrake 10.0 official I don't have a Internet connection, I'll try to explain as clear as possible:

router:
smc 7404BRA

eth0:
BCM4401 , thats the onboard NIC of asus A7V8X (driver that comes with mandrake 10.0)

configuration of eth0:
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=static
IPADDR=192.168.2.103
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
NETWORK=192.168.2.0
BROADCAST=192.168.2.255
ONBOOT=yes
MII_NOT_SUPPORTED=yes
WIRELESS_ENC_KEY=""

this is what happens:
when I boot my computer and try to access the internet it doesn't work. I am able to connect to my router where I can reconnect the wan connection, after the reconnection I'm able to access the Internet again. 2 other computers in the network don't encounter this problem.

thats it

yes im on a network, but it is mine network (personal use). So i dont have to ask the network administrator.
But i compared it to a debian machine in the network, but thats another type of setting. as far as i can see the configuration of the mandrake machine is the same as the debian pc.

btw, I already installed the newest firmware on the router

Does the output of the command:
route
Indicate a gateway that points to the router?

Does /etc/resolv.conf file list the nameservers?

when i try the command: route, i see that there is no gateway, but when i check the graphical configuration (what should be the same as text modus ) i see that the gateway is set on 192.168.2.1 (and that is my router).

when i look into the file /etc/resolv.conf i see that the nameserver is 192.168.2.1 which is the adress of the router.
