Question RHLinux 7.1 connectivity to W2K/NT4 Server?

Can Red Hat Linux 7.1 connect as a workstation to a Windows 2000 Server, or to an NT4 server? (or . . . is there a Linux client for Windows?) If yes, how's best to do it? Thanks.

To the contrary . . .

I have searched the site (granted, not exhaustively). Samba doesn't sound like what I need . . . though my frame of ref. is not UNIX/LINUX, but MS and Novell Client/Server, so maybe I've got a misconception of what Samba is. I'd like to see a number of (relatively inexpensive) Linux workstations connecting to some kind of NT server, and doing a substantial subset of what an MS workstation can do. What I've read so far about re: SAMBA talks about a LINUX server and Windows workstations, just the opposite of what I'm looking for.
