Who has more bloatware android or iphones?
hi
I never owned an iphone nor know much about them. Out of the box, do android phones have more bloatware than iphone or vice versa? |
"Android" is the operating system. It has no bloatware.
Bloatware is manufacturer specific. For example, Samsung has 5 or 6 applications that they really enjoy putting on their phones, whereas Motorola installs only 3. The type of service also affects you. ATT for example, installs a bunch of contacts and some apps. So, it depends on what phone, and what service we are talking about. |
I guess it depends..
I have never had an iPhone, but I have a g1, HTC Sensation and a Nexus7 The g1 didn't have any bloatware The sensation I picked up off ebay was Orange(UK), so had OrangebloatWare, but I rooted it and cleaned it up, then put CyanogenMOd on it The Nexus7, has some google bloat, but no where near that of Orange(UK) I unlocked the bootloader, and removed what I didn't want I did put CM on it, but I have gone back to 'stock' since ( no real reason , I'll probably put CM back on it at some point ) If you don't want bloat, go google branded 'Nexus' ( wish I had waited for the Nexus4, but my g1 was in a bad way from many drops :) ) |

Actually, the bloatware I was referring to was the one from the manufacturer as you said, the second from Google and lastly those from the phone company ATT, Sprint, Virgin, etc... I wish we had the ease of removing these apps without the need to root a phone. |

That is why we have to push for the legalization of unlocking phones, so we dont get stuck with that bullshit. |
