Trouble with Android on Tilt 8925

I've gotten Android installed (and updated) on my HTC Tilt Device. My current hang up is that when I let it boot it hangs with the message
Code:

A N D R O I D [ ] init: cannot find'/system/bin/logwrapper', disabling 'sysinit'
Did I do something wrong/what can I do to resolve this issue?

Also as a side note: Anyone know how I would go about getting Debian ARM running on the device? I would much prefer that to Android, but I could not find a solid HOWTO for going about it. I just figured Android was better than WinMo xD

Regards,
~Jeff

Onward, upward, backward. forward, I tried installing the "Warm Donut" version instead of the "Eclair" and the system hangs with this different message are startup on this one:

Code:

init: Unable to open persistent property directory /data/property errno: 2
I think Android dislikes me (Maybe it knows my other phone runs Maemo LOL)... Suggestions? I also found this thread that lists this exact error message in its FAQs but the solution listed there does not resolve the issue on my device...

Halp!
