I'm currently trying to search for a tablet pc that has no OS at all (or where i can install my own os, like armedslack or an ubuntu flavour).
I know the tablets these days have android installed by default, but like the same with laptops, i want to have 'full' control with my piece of hardware.
And because the tablet makers doesn't give me much details about the hardware that's in the tablet pc, i'm curious about experience that other users have with tablet pc's and self maded linux installation (and how they installed it).
So does anyone already took the step to buy a tablet pc and install a linux distro by himself?
The Archos gen8 tablets have an available SDE (Special Developer Edition) that lets you install whatever OS you want. The community has built a custom Android for it, and others are working on Ubuntu.
