some iphone questions
So I've Googled around a bit and have found that the iPhone can run Android and there is a project to get Linux onto it as well. I just have a few questions.

How well does the iphone run with Android OS?

Anyone know when Linux will finally work reasonably well on iPhone (for example when the touchscreen starts to work with it)?

Android on the iPhone is still in the development stages. The touch screen works, and the OS functions basically, but i have had it crash randomly. Some of the problems that keep android from being your daily os for the iPhone, such as power management for 3G, haven't been ironed out yet.

Thats all i know, hope it helps.

What's the point of this? I don't get it. To my knowledge, the iPhone has inferior hardware but Apple manages to sell it thanks to the software. What is the point of running Android on it when you can have better hardware for cheaper with Android pre-installed?
I'm genuinely interested to know why you would want to run Android on an iPhone?
