possible to export addresses to mobile phone?

I have a ZTE E520 phone. When I connect it via usb to my computer (running Debian Squeeze), it is detected, but I can't mount it. The program usb-view shows it as "ZTE CDMA EVDO MOBILE". Is there a way to transfer an address file (IE, a csv file) to it? Can this be done with mobile phones? Is there a way to make jpilot work with it?

As for transferring a file, checkout chapter 12 "USB Mass Storage" of the ZTE E520 User Manual.

So I guess it has a microSD card. You could just take that out and use a card reader, if had you one.

As for transferring the addresses of contacts, you'll probably need to use some of the carrier's online tools. For example, Verizon has a contacts manager on the website for feature phones.

As a better solution, if you can afford it, skip all this and get a smartphone.

Thanks jhwilliams. I think there was a typo in the link you gave, but I'm assuming it's this site (which I'm going to check out): http://www.metropcs.com/assets/pdfs/...E520ME0710.pdf

I got a memory card for it and was able to mount it. However, I could only see folders such as "My Videos", "My Pictures", "My Music". No contacts folder there. And the contacts program within the phone has no export or import function. I guess the designers assumed that I would only wish to have the capability of importing and exporting music, videos, and pictures for my telephone (and wouldn't wish to be able to import and export telephone numbers for my telephone.) Anyway, seems it's not possible, which solves this thread, I suppose.
