openmoko WiFi password problem

I have a neo "phone" and am using the Om2008.9.rootfs.jffs2 file system. When going "SETTINGS" and "WiFi" a password (I assume either WEP or WAP) is requested. The keyboard presented has only alpha characters but I need an alpha/numeric keyboard for the password. Any suggestions?
