Open source application to compress or package on Android?

Hello, any open source application that works on Android to compress or package files with a password, no matter the format (Zip, Gzip, Bzip2, TAR, 7z)

I think Termux can be used, but it is a little difficult to explore the package and select a specific file, so I am looking for an application that is open source and supports password.

The Android phone is rooted

Thank you

Since I cannot find a quick result, I suggest you install a few Android archivers (from f-droid.org) and see if they support password protection.

Thank you, I have done it in all F-Droid, but there is no application or application with the integrated function that allows to compress - decompress or package or unpack files with a password

I wonder if a proprietary license is necessary for this, or if there is something open source since I can't find information about it.

Cheers

I use zArchiver on Android. I'm not sure about the app license but it uses open source libraries.

the package on termux for 7z is p7zip

The package on termux for 7z is p7zip. 7z can set a password for the archive and or it's contents list.

Thanks, 7zip works entermux, but it is not so easy to use when I need to select and see only some files

Thanks

Install midnight commander (mc) ncurses file manager on termux. Create a directory to collect your files to be archived in. Open your source directory in the left pane of mc and your destination directory in the right pane of mc. Copy or move everything you want to archive from the left pane to the right pane. Move up one directory level in the right pane. Use 7z to create an archive from your destination directory with a password.

B1 Archiver is a popular tool for zipping and unzipping various types of archive files. It has support for the big ones like zip and rar, but also boasts compatibility for a total of 37 formats. That’s great if you’re used to working with unique or unusual archive file types that you don’t run into every day. It also has support for multi-part rar and b1 archives if you need that. It’s a solid app overall with a good design,
