Go to Play Store and search for cleaning app out there. you can get dozens of them, lol

How can this happen. I don't understand. May be you are cheated. Can you check all the hidden files and make sure there is no large file hidden. There is zero chance for a new phone although.

Reset your phone.. If still the device memory is not increased.. please contact the company.. Sometimes it happens.. Better to replace the device..

Try 1.) clearing the cached data within all your apps internal storage and 2.) most important, wipe the phone's cache.

1.) Try going into the Settings and clearing the cached data within all your apps' internal storage. I use LineageOS, so I'm not sure exactly where this is on your Android phone, but I'm sure you could find clearing the cached data of your apps within your Settings. This will restore a bit of space.

2.) Also, I strongly suggest you try going into recovery mode and wipe your phone's cache. This is the most likely thing eating space on your phone, I feel. It's easy to do if you've got TWRP installed (TeamWin Recovery Project). Otherwise, I assume it can be done with the default recovery that comes with Android (I do recommend installing TWRP though).
