mplayer on mobile

i have videos with unsynchronised subtitle files.
mplayer has 'y' & 'g' to switch back & forth in subtitle stream (not between different subtitle streams).
Question)Can anybody tell any mobile app that has same feature ?
Question)Actually I want to have linux OS on mobile . From, what I know mobile has arm embedded processor not i386 . Debian has only built OS for that architecture . Has anybody managed to run debian on mobile ?
I have read https://wiki.debian.org/Mobile . Is there anybody on this forum who has first hand experience ?

What mobile OS are you asking about? Android, or something more like straight Linux?

I think debian isn't related to android while currently most OS on mobiles are based on android.
Kernel of android is based on linux.
I want debian desktop like experience on my mobile in question 2 .
While question 1 is about 'yg' functionality of mplayer.

Debian has an arm port and armel. (big and little endian). On my Nokia N900 I can install Debian if I want. In theory you can install Debian on any phone as long as you can get the Kernel and firmware bits going and get the Debian ARM packages to work properly together on the device.

You can also port any Linux distro to a phone (with skills) using Scratchbox. However, key is still Kernel and Firmware, in particular firmware. If you find a good way to be able to use stock Android Kernels and Firmware with another custom install distro, I think you will be the hero of the community!

If you want more info on software and media players etc for proper Linux mobiles I suggest you check out www.maemo.org

If you want to get involved, Plasma Active desktop for tablets and mobiles is a good place. Also the "mer" GNU/Linux distro for mobiles is a place to look into.

In the very end it is well worth looking into Jolla and Sailfish.

zeebra , that is alright.

Anybody know of mobile player that supports yg functionality like mplayer assuming subtitles are not synced & delaying or advancing or changing frame rate does not help.
