Put this question into mobile forum but subject is a tablet, so here goes. Move if it should be elsewhere.
Lenovo has stopped all updates to android tablet yb1-x90f several years ago. It's a non-phone, wifi tablet. Machine is nice, has great screen display, keyboard is nice, and works well but system software is now getting 3-4 years old.
I recently dissambled it to replace battery. Broke keyboard in battery removal process but got a new one and installed it. All works well (new battery and keyboard) but would like to update software.
I'd like to resume system android updates or, perhaps, remove android and replace with linux if it will install. I have a linux pinephone that I am getting to finally work decently.
thanks for any knowledgeable ideas on how to reactivate lenovo android or root and install linux on this machine. tom kosvic

Search for "install linux on <maker & model>".
Same for Android, but I think your best bet is to check if LineageOS supports it
