kill apps by rewriting their code (Killer does't work!!)

I've a quite big subject about the andorid apps like google play, media...
they turn themselves on even if I kill them by killer - in fact it works only temporarily. After some time like maybe 10min they're on again. In linux there's cron-action scheduler where there are rules to turn on particular script/app. Is there some alteration of it in my droid(2.3 gingerbread) which make them turn on constantly or do I've to edit the code of each of them separatly?

You aren't supposed to be manually killing applications in Android, it has no effect. They will just come back on their own when the system needs them.

First of all, there's a dedicated Android Forum now for questions like this. See the panel at the top right for the link. Your LQ account is good there too.

Second, AFAIK, the only way you can truly control automatic services is to root your device first. Then you should be able to disable or uninstall just about anything you don't want.

For non-rooted phones, it seems the best you can do is try to disable or uninstall individual apps in the application settings. But not everything can be controlled this way, and of course they become completely unavailable until you reactivate them. And in the case of pre-installed system apps, it appears that you have to uninstall any and all updates to them first before it will allow you to disable them. I've disabled a lot of the pre-loaded crapware this way.

Finally, to address the previous comment, in my limited experience, while in theory you shouldn't have to force-kill apps, in practice I've found that you really do. A lot of apps appear to be poorly written and just don't idle properly. I've been using Advanced Task Manager, which has a feature for regularly killing running applications, and it has really improved my battery life. Yes, some of them just re-spawn right away, and most of them do come back when called in any case, but even knocking stuff out temporarily appears to help a lot.

(Caveat, I only just got my first smartphone (Galaxy S3) a few months ago, so I really can't say that much with confidence. Go to Android Forums if you want real answers.)

In my view Android is poorly designed and was built on the concept of installing apps in a simple and friendly way. It's old and obsolete and if the folks at Google have a bit of brain left they should focus on improving ChromeOS and porting it to mobile. I doubt that the current Android development team has ears to listen.

But I do love tablets though.

Well it looks like they eventually have a bit of brain left.
