I am using Firefox on android.how to eradicate google from firefox in android?
Also,I use a browser called lightning from f droid on android.
how to remove google related and google parts from the browser?
I know how to eradicate google from firefox on linux.
Thanks in advance for any help.
What do you mean by "eradicate google"? Firefox is not a Google product, never has been, and has no relationship with Google, not on Android or any other OS. I have no idea about f droid, never heard of it.
rubankumars, do you just want to change the default search engine in firefox?
it should be easily possible from the settings menu => customize.

this is not entirely true.
when you install firefox, it comes with a few search engines preinstalled, and the default is google.
iirc, the default firefox home page also uses google search.

i am running my rooted android phone without a google account or any google apps.
i took some pains to eliminate its connection to google, the "phone home" feature.
not sure if i succeeded 100, but a fair bit i'd say.
instead of play store i'm using f-droid.
i added an article with some hopefully helpful links to my blog (partly in german, sorry).
The default search engine in Firefox is Yahoo. You can add Google, or any other search engine, if you want.
Not having a Google account is not the same thing as Google not being involved in Android. Google developed, and owns, Android. Nobody has come up with a separate code base, AFAIK. No matter which ROM you install, it's still Android, from Google.
Eradicate Google from a Google phone? Good luck. Although it might not be the cheapest way to dispose of it, this would sure be the most fun. Putting it in a vise and hitting it with a sledge hammer is a close second.
rubankumars, I hear the Ubuntu phone landed in India, so you might want to check it out if you're looking for a decent Google-free phone.
EDIT: I remember seeing a video awhile back of some guy tracing rogue packets on his Android phone to Google, but I conveniently can't find it on YouTube anymore. It's out there somewhere. Probably.

Reason: Link issues
If you don't want google then you need iPhone/Jolla/Ubuntu and depending on where you live there's Tizen Samsung phones. I'll be going Jolla after the Christmas spend season.
